Speakers
Stephen Russell serves in investment origination and business development at Perot Petrus Asset Management. In his current role, Stephen is responsible for the origination, analysis, negotiation, and structuring of opportunities across all investment strategies. Prior to joining Perot in 2022, Stephen worked in the Financial Sponsors and Leveraged Finance group at UBS in New York. Before starting his career in finance, Stephen served as an officer in the US Navy SEAL Teams for seven years with several combat deployments around the globe. Philanthropically, Stephen is very active with nonprofits that support the SEAL community. Stephen is a distinguished graduate of the Virginia Military Institute and received his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In his spare time, Stephen enjoys traveling, skiing, hunting, flyfishing and anything on or near the water.
Barry Bobrow, Managing Director and Head of Credit Markets at Regions Business Capital is a leading figure in middle-market leveraged finance and asset-based lending. With 37 years of banking experience, predominantly in leveraged lending and supply chain finance, he has led successful loan syndication teams at major banks such as Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Barry is currently President of the Secured Finance Network (SFNet) National Management Committee and has been deeply involved in asset-based lending for many years. He is the creator and Chair of the Asset-Based Capital Conference (ABCC) and hosts the In the Know podcast on the SFNet website. Barry holds a BA in Economics and an MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan.
Brian Stewart, Managing Director and Head of Private Credit at Fortress Credit Funds and CO-CIO of Fortress Lending Funds, oversees origination, execution, and asset management of private corporate credit investments. With 17 years of experience in middle market corporate credit, he previously worked at Levine Leichtman Capital Partners, leading origination, execution, and portfolio management for direct lending, distressed debt, and hybrid capital strategies. Brian has served on the boards of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Euramax International, IAP Worldwide Services, Bertucci's Corporation, and Jonathan Engineered Solutions. Prior to that, he was an analyst at Houlihan Lokey in the financial restructuring group. Brian holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Southern California.
Kevin Barner, Managing Director at Paceline Equity Partners, is an experienced private equity investor and industry advisor, specializing in building products, construction, and home services. He serves on the boards of AHF, Dura Supreme, Lamps Plus, Kelso Industries, and Brown and Settle. Previously with Lone Star Funds, he led acquisitions including Continental Building Products and Forterra. Before that, he was at The Halifax Group and BB&T Capital Markets. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce.
